Brewer’s Bay

There is a basic tent campground where, except at the height of the season, you’ll be virtually alone. There is a fine reef offshore but no rental facility, so bring gear with you. There is a commissary, but you are better off bringing lunch. Showers.

Cane Garden Bay Beach

Tortola, Tortola

The island’s most popular beach, Cane Garden Bay is studded with palm trees for shade. The sand here is packed down and not as luxurious as Long Bay and Apple Bay. There is always a lot of activity for there are several locally owned restaurants and bars nearby. Rhymer’s Beach Shack rents all sorts of sports gear and its restaurant is a popular spot. Stick around for one of Cane Garden Bay’s special sunsets. Salute it with a drink at Stanley’s Welcome Bar. Look for the tire swing.

Josiah’s Bay

Tortola’s northeast coast
Tortola, Tortola

Isolated on Tortola’s northeast coast, which is ts least developed area, this beach has an unusual rock formation at one end. The sand strip is long and wide and great for sunbathing. There is a small beach bar and The Secret Garden Restaurant nearby is great for take-out. In the winter, this is a great surfing beach. The road to the beach is rough and you’d do best with four-wheel drive.
