Across the street is the aging Palais Galliera: Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris with its collection of over 80,000 articles of clothing and accessories. Because of the fragile nature of the collections, this fashion museum is only open for temporary expositions arranged around a theme or a particular designer.
