The Caves are located near the geographical centre of Barbados, in the parish of St Thomas. The tour starts in the theater with an audio-visual show documenting the fascinating and unique geological history of Barbados, as well as the wonders of the cave. After the show, accompanied by a guide and driver, you board the trams for the stunning ride underground. What follows is a spectacular journey through vast caverns, with waterfalls thundering over ledges into crystal-clear pools, and thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. There is a Visitor’s Centre that provides refreshments, handicraft shops, and an exhibit of Amerindian artifacts, excavated from sites around the island. Children $7, adults $16.
