Lappland

Lappland is cold. Lappland is dark. It is at the top of Sweden. It is at the top of Europe. It makes up nearly 27% of the country, which in turn makes it by far the largest province in Sweden, but with the smallest population in the country – only 1.2% of the Swedish people live here. In it are nine national parks, several nature reserves, and Sweden's highest mountain, Kebnekaise, the summit of which is at 6,945 feet (2,117 m).
