Originally built in the 1700s, it was first known as Tenby House, then Tent Bay House, Edgewater Hotel, Edgewater Inn, and now the New Edgewater Hotel. Recently renovated and upgraded, all rooms now have air-conditioning, TV, phone, and fridge. However, if you listen carefully on a quiet night you can sometimes hear the ghostly sounds of Mrs.
Carter playing the piano (she owned the hotel in the 1940’s). The reception area is new and the pool has been refurbished with a pool bar and deck. The hotel’s restaurant is a local favorite and offers Bajan cuisine with a view of the Atlantic. Rates in winter from $105, in summer from $85 per night. All-inclusive packages also available, including seven nights accommodation, airport transfer, car rental, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus island tours. Rates for these packages range from $750 per person for an ocean-view room in summer to $850 for a superior ocean-view or rainforest-view room to $1,125 for a deluxe/honeymoon oceanside suite in winter.
