The SG Davis Hostel offers good facilities in an excellent location. It’s situated near Po Lin Monastery up in the hills and provides a breath of fresh air after the city, although you will need some warmer clothes during the cooler winter months.
It’s also a great place to start hikes from and you’ll find the staff has plenty of helpful tips for walking routes. The hostel has kitchen facilities but there’s also the excellent vegetarian restaurant at Po Lin just down the road. The hostel is well sign-posted from Po Lin and takes about 10 minutes to walk to.
