If you’re in the area for world-class fishing, head a half-hour north of Naranjo for Hotel Bahía Luminosa, an American- owned, low-key resort that specializes in yachting and sailing adventures – they even offer their own yachts. The bay is a favorite protected anchorage for sailboats. Luminosa offers deep-sea fishing, diving trips and local nature tours. Tree-shaded rooms have kitchenettes and are spread out on 71 hectares/175 acres of wooded grounds (including primary rainforest) on a private bay.
