Casa Corcovado (pool, closed September through November 15) is the closest resort to the park itself. Caribbean designed, well-appointed private bungalows are scattered in a wooded area of their private reserve, defining the best of “soft” adventure travel. This place was built by a naturalist for serious nature lovers. They offer tours, plus hiking to the park and waterfall, fine dining and a spring-fed swimming pool. It is billed as a “Lost World” resort, but you might like to find it. Fishing and diving packages. A two-night package with boat transfer is around US $600 per person.
