Resembling a typical French bourgeois townhouse, this cozy hotel has had the same owner since 1962; it has a friendly, family-run atmosphere and a loyal following. The hotel is on a quiet, tree-lined street between the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides, two blocks from the Rue Cler market street. The 60 guest rooms are decorated in rich colors with antiques and Persian rugs, with private bathroom (bath or shower), hair dryer, air conditioning, soundproofing, direct-dial phone, in-room safe, and dial-up Internet access. The main lobby opens onto a leafy winter garden and patio where guests enjoy breakfast, or snacks throughout the day. There’s also an intimate lounge for reading the daily newspapers, enjoying a cup of tea, or checking e-mail at the Internet station. Triples and quads are also available.
