If you continue eastward along the The East Beach at the end of Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, you may see signs announcing Zone Naturiste – that’s the nude beach. It is about five km/three miles outside the village. To get there, follow the beach road east. After about three km/1.9 miles the road becomes a dirt track. Leave it here and walk along the beach. The Mediterranean will be on your right, dunes, ponds and marshes on your left and you will only be able to proceed on foot or mountain bike. Bring your own water, refreshments and shade because all you’ll find are sand dunes, sea and loads of sea birds.
