This Baroque basilica was built in the 17th century after a pilgrimage visit by Anne of Austria. Parts of the crypt date from the Roman period. The Treasury in the sacristy includes rare religious objects, reliquaries, ancient manuscripts and incunabula books printed before 1501. A flag, known as the veil of Ste Anne and used to cover the saint’s relics during processions, is actually an Arab standard woven in the 11th century for a Kalif and carried back from the Crusades. The Treasury and Crypt, 8 Rue Ste Delphine. Open July, August and September, Tuesday to Saturday, from 3 to 5 pm, except during holy offices.
