Both are little more than shacks in the sand – you eat at picnic-type tables – where freshly caught sea bass, prawns and bream are grilled or simply prepared in wood-burning ovens with garlicky sauces. The tiny local clams, called tellines, are so good that Marc et Mireille supply them to some of the region’s top restaurants, like le Bistro d’Eygalières. Both places are tiny and wildly popular with local people and beach aficionados, so make reservations well in advance. And, since getting to Beauduc is something of an adventure, don’t try to cram too much else in on the day you go.
