The best temporary address in Stuttgart is the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin across the road from the main train station. Behind its monolithic façade is a luxurious and stylish interior. Like the locally produced Mercedes cars, the rooms are available in classic, elegant, and avant-garde. Cheaper rooms are a bit cramped but still stylish and all have lovely white and stainless steel bathrooms. The restaurant Olivio has a Michelin star and serves Italian food in attractive surroundings. The wine list and service are first-class too. Home-style cooking and regional specialties are available in the Zeppelin-Stüble.
