On the banks of the Danube, in the afternoon shadows of the Brückturm and the Salzstadel, is the Historische Wurstkuchl. It claims to be the oldest sausage kitchen in Germany and looks the part. Sausages with sauerkraut and beer are mostly enjoyed on the Danube terrace but there is also some seating inside. The menu includes non-sausage items, but it is mostly for the famous grilled sausages that the diners come.
