There are a number of restaurants and cafés on the market square, but the two inside the hotels are especially pleasant. Hotel Zum Bär is at the far end of the square away from the town hall and church. The hotel has a tradition going back 250 years and was restored in 1997 to its former glory. It was Goethe’s chosen abode. Rooms are comfortable, with stylish furniture and an eye for detail.
