A very pleasant alternative to staying directly in the old town is Villa Anna. It is on a hill opposite the Wartburg, in a quiet residential neighborhood of mainly Gründerzeit villas. From the hotel, it is about 15 minutes walk, involving steep slopes and stairs, to the Bachhaus.
Rooms are spacious, very modern, and flooded with natural light from large windows that offer wonderful views of the valley. The focus is on business travelers but families and vacationers are also heartily welcomed. Apart from a cold breakfast buffet, only small snacks are served.
