Szilváskõ near Karancs-Medves has two ski lifts. The Nógrád part of Galyatetó, at Mátraalmás, has the only ski run in Hungary suitable for international competition, but essentially, only two ski areas are popular in Hungary, at Bankut, and at Matra, and they are covered in the text under itineraries. Further information and special itineraries can be planned and confirmed through one or more of these organizations. In all cases, you can also check with Tourinform.
