Italian crystal capital Colle di Val d’Elsa (split into the Alta, the medieval hilltop part, the Bassa, the new town at its base and the Piana, the glass production area) is a pretty quiet warren of narrow streets, steeped alleys and historic churches often missed en route to the more tourist-crowded San Gimignano. That’s not to say there isn’t much to visit. The top sights are: Museo Archeologico.
