Among Treviso’s most distinctive characteristics are the cathedral’s copper domes rising up from a 12th-century structure that was reconstructed several times over the centuries. Many fine 16th-century frescoes are housed inside the cathedral, including the magnificent Adoration of the Magi by Pordenone and Titian’s altarpiece the Annunciation, both found in the Malchiostro Chapel. One of the oldest parts of the cathedral is in the crypt, where marble columns from its earliest construction stand.
