Once a small trattoria, Locanda Montegrappa stands on the slopes of Monte Grappa and has flourished over the years, expanding into a restaurant, hotel, and residence to meet the diverse needs of its active travelers. Locanda’s hotel has 13 simply furnished rooms with en-suite bathrooms but, for guests considering a longer stay, traveling in groups or who prefer more privacy, there are other options. The Residence Silvia offers 21 mini-apartments with a kitchen. Garni The House has six rooms and sleeps 22 people. The 30-room Sporting Star Hotel has two pools, a wellness center, a restaurant and bar and all modern amenities. Silvia and her friendly staff enjoy getting to know their adventure travelers, many of whom return year after year. The staff has a good rapport with many local establishments and provides assistance in scheduling paragliding, bicycle excursions, horseback riding, shopping trips to many nearby factory stores, wine tasting events at nearby wineries and excursions on foot. Whether or not you choose to stay in one of their rooms, don’t miss a dinner at their restaurant (see Dining Out).
