The elegant dining rooms are a true reflection of the fine local cuisine you can expect to find at Barbesin, one of Castelfranco’s exceptional eateries. Locals come here for the chef’s modern interpretation of traditional Veneto dishes that highlight seasonal products. Their menu changes weekly but the tagliata di manzo (prime cut of beef), served with roasted potatoes, is a classic dish found year-round at Barbesin. Risotto dishes are another specialty, prepared with seasonal ingredients such as radicchio and asparagus. The fixed-price midday menu is an excellent choice and, for i18, includes a first and second course with wine. In summer, request a table in the garden. The insalatina di radicchio con salmone marinato (radicchio salad with marinated salmon) is a very good choice for an appetizer. Located just minutes from the historic center on the corner of SS53 and the road leading to Vedelago, it attracts a business crowd at lunchtime. The restaurant also features an enoteca where it is possible to request a wine tasting or purchase regional wines.
