This restaurant’s association with Tuscany goes no further than its name, which reflects its past life as a Tuscan wine storehouse. Thanks to Albino and Mariuccia Busatto and their son Stefano, the cuisine reflects strictly Venetian traditions and ingredients, unified with a touch of creativity. Inside the kitchen of Venice’s only Ristorante del Buon Ricordo (see page 39), the chefs prepare risotto, frittura and other specialties based on the daily market-based menu. The pasta is homemade and some of their best dishes include fegato veneziana (Venetian-style liver prepared with onions) and frittura di pesce senza respina con verdure fresche (a mixed fried fish platter served with fresh vegetables). More Than 500 wines and 50 cheeses (during winter) crown their already rich menu.
