Mesón de Don Diego isn’t especially reputable for its cooking (the afternoon menu del día is 12 Euro). What it does have is a unique setting in a private plaza entered through a single gate. This neat and potentially romantic courtyard has outdoor tables lit by candles and overhung by strands of lighted, flapping flags. The house specialties are cordero (lamb) and cabrito (roast kid).
