Cuvaison is housed in a splendid, white mission-style building, with landscaped grounds and picnic facilities. The winery produces approximately 63,000 cases of wine annually, from grapes grown in its 600 acres of vineyards in the Carneros district and Mount Veeder. Wines include varietal Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and small lots of Pinot Noir. The winery was founded in 1969, and is currently owned by the Schmidheiny family of Switzerland. Open for tasting and sales 10am-5pm daily in summer, 11am-4pm in winter; tours by appointment. Tasting fee: $8.00. Picnic facilities.
