Well-known Napa Valley winery, originally established as the Louis M. Martini Grape Products Company in Kingsburg, California, in 1922, and moved to its present location in St. Helena, by owner Louis M. Martini, in 1933. Martini currently owns in excess of 1,500 acres of planted vineyards in Napa, Sonoma and Lake counties, including substantial acreages in the Los Carneros district, the Mayacamas Mountains, Pope and Chiles valleys, and the Healdsburg area. The winery, of course, bottles a full line of estate varietal wines, with red table wines, aged in large cooperage, accounting for more than half of the winemaker’s total annual output. Some generic and dessert wines are also produced, with emphasis on sherries. Tours, tasting and sales daily 10am-5pm.
