Rutherford Hill is housed in a large facility located at the foot of the eastern hills of Napa Valley. It produces approximately 100,000 cases of estate-grown varietal wine from its 700 acres or so of vineyards located in the Rutherford area, utilizing some of the most modern winemaking equipment and technology. The winery also features some 30,000 square feet of hillside caves, recently excavated, where wines are aged in French oak barrels. Wines produced under the Rutherford Hill label include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petite Verdot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery was established in 1976. Tasting room open 10am-5pm daily; tours at 11.30pm 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Picnic area.
