Due to open in August, 2001, this newly renovated and expanded oceanfront hotel will occupy the site of the former DiLido Beach Resort, an Art Moderne property from the early ’50s. A lavish 13,000- square-foot spa, an outdoor pool, and 84 three-story poolside cabanas in the style of early Miami Beach are planned. In addition, 375 rooms and suites will be decorated in the bright colors and rich fabrics that typify the Art Moderne style. For an added layer of luxury, additional amenities and privacy will be available via a specially coded key at the Ritz-Carlton Club level. Food and beverage options will include The Café with outdoor terrace and private dining room, and a pool bar, while meetings and conventions will be served by 20,000 square feet of meeting pace.
