230-acre park, which includes in it Ha’ena Beach, Ke’e Beach, some archaeological sites, and the north shore landmarks, Waikapalae and Waikanaloa Wet Caves, located just inside the park, and with their associations to the Hawaiian goddess of fire, Pele. The caves, typically, are deep, dark, and large, with stagnant water.
