"The Inn is one of Newburyport’s real treasures. This 18th century home was once located on High Street, among prominent homes built by merchants, sea captains and shipwrights. It was moved to its present location and attached to an older colonial home. The Greenleaf Inn retains many of its original features, moldings, grand central stairway, wide pine floors, original windows, Indian shutters and fireplace panels. Newburyport is home of the famous Clipper Ships. For that reason, each of our suites is named for one of the graceful ships built right here on the shores of the Merrimac. We have opened this beautiful home to guests staying a few days, weeks or months in the seacoast area. We offer special discounts for weekly stays."
