The Crazy Mountain Museum is a historical museum featuring exhibits that reflect the history of Sweet Grass County and the surrounding area. Exhibits include the following: ‘Sheep and Wool': The story of sheep ranching and its great importance to Sweet Grass County and the American West. ‘The Norwegian Stabbur': In memory of the huge impact Norwegians had on Sweet Grass County. This separate building includes Norwegian artifacts, a one-room school house and a Lewis and Clark exhibit. ‘Cobblestone City' features a miniature recreation of the town of Big Timber as it existed in 1907. A news article accompanying the detailed miniature show the affects of a fire that destroyed one-third of the town in 1908. Rodeo: Features the Days of the Cremer Rodeos as well as more current Rodeo participants. A Pioneer Memorial Gallery honors those who arrived in the county by 1895 with photos, family information and artifacts. Also many other exhibits. An Archives Room provides information for research on county history and its people. The Lewis and Clark Native Plant Garden has a wonderful assortment of plants with interpretive signs relating to the plants and other interesting facts of the expedition here in Sweet Grass County during July of 1806.
