Corniche des Maures

Corniche des Maures

The Corniche des Maures is a spectacular drive along the coast. Inland, 26 villages are hidden away in the 386 square miles of the massif. It is a quiet, often isolated environment, intersected by wild and deeply shaded valleys. Walking is easy to moderate, so you can pay attention to the flora and fauna rather than the challenges of the climb. Cycling itineraries suggested by the departmental tourist board, on paved but very quiet roads, also suit beginner and intermediate cyclists. Plan accommodations well ahead of time.
