The Rosgartenmuseum, is the most important art collection along the Bodensee. Expositions explain the history of the region with special emphasis on Konstanz. A prized possession is the Paleolithic wall carving of a reindeer, made around 10,000 BC. The majority of the collection is artifacts from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. More recent items include a CARE packet, hugely sought-after food parcels sent from the US to Germany after World War II.
