An interesting stop en route to Überlingen is the Pfahlbaumuseum (Pile Dwellings Museum). It is an open-air museum with a reconstructed village representing life along the Bodensee in the stone and bronze ages (4000 to 850 BC). The village currently has 20 houses and an exhibition inside a museum. The village can only be seen on a guided tour. It is 25 minutes walk from the station and 15 minutes from the parking area–open daily from April to September, 8 am to 6 pm and in October from 9 am to 5 pm.
