Telde

Telde

Gran Canarias’ second largest town, Telde preserves some of the earliest examples of Spanish island architecture. The 15th-century Iglesia de San Juan is the centerpiece of the historical San Juan district that, along with the San Francisco district, looks much the way it would have looked back in the Middle Ages, shortly after Telde had lost its privilege as one of the pre-Hispanic capitals of Gran Canaria.
