Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park, tucked between the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and the Whitefish Mountain Range, is sister to Canada’s Waterton Lakes National Park. The 'Going to the Sun Road' slices through the Park’s 1,600 square miles of wild beauty. The parks share some 20 miles of common border.

Five wilderness areas preserve Glacier Country’s pristine ecology: The Bob Marshall and adjoining Great Bear Wilderness, the Cabinet Mountains, Mission Mountains and Rattlesnake Wilderness areas. Together with Glacier National Park, the areas offer virtually endless backpacking, horsepacking, primitive camping, fishing and mountain climbing opportunities.
