The Colorado River rafting is an 11 mile float trip starting at the base of Hoover Dam. Your raft guide will take you down a "rapid free" (No white water) part of the Colorado river through Black Canyon. Your guide will explain the history of the area and how the river was navigated by the early settlers. You may see Big Horn Sheep grazing, Rainbow Trout rising to catch a fly, bubbling hot springs cascading down to the river and Indian petroglyphs. A box lunch is provided on the banks of the Colorado where you can take in natures beauty. Your Hummer excursion begins from the raft depot. This deep desert exploration vehicle has no match! You will travel through rugged desert to Rainbow Gardens National Preserve, see extinct lava flows, Frenchman Mountains and Lizard Eye Ridge. This is a true desert adventure.
