Galleria degli Uffizi is by far the largest and most famous gallery in Florence. It is home to an eye-popping collection works of art from virtually all the art movements all across Italy and Europe, beginning with the Tuscan and Florentine schools, as well as scores of ancient Roman sculptures.
Galleria degli Uffizi consists of two wings, the East Gallery and the West Gallery, with no fewer than 45 rooms, all bursting with art. In fact, the Uffizi can be just as overwhelming for visitors as, say, the Louvre in Paris or Madrid's El Prado.
For more information on the gallery, see Galleria degli Uffizi.
