Just by turning into an unlikely driveway off of unlovely Piedmont Road, you can step back to a time before the "War of Northern Aggression." Anthony`s restaurant`s building dates back to 1797 and, though it`s been carefully dismantled, moved from its original plantation site, and rebuilt, dining inside evokes a definite feeling of history. The many small dining rooms are cool and intimate, and the service is quite friendly. Anthony`s is a fine dining establishment that specializes in an American fare. Expect the average entrée to cost between $20 and $30, and dress casual, but fashionable.
Atmosphere: You`ll be able to take in the nature view from many seats at this restaurant. The restaurant has an elegant décor. In general, the lighting is set quite dim. The restaurant is very spacious with seating for 600 people. It has a formal atmosphere and patroned by all kinds of people.
More Reasons to Go: Anthony`s is appropriate (if not ideal) for anniversaries and other romantic evenings.
Eating & Drinking: Open for dinner. The menu here at Anthony`s changes on a seasonal basis depending on freshness and availability.
